soccer match today

Man City, Arsenal and Arsenal are the teams with the most red card in a premier league match. Man City have 72. We take a look at some of the most notable red cards and the players who were involved. We'll be looking at Glenn Murray & Frank Lampard, both of whom were given red cards during a Premier League game.

Arsenal has had the most red card in a premier league match

Arsenal has received more red cards in premier league matches than any other team. Since December when Mikel Arteta assumed control of the Gunners, 14 red cards have been shown in just four games. In the first four games in 2022, three of those red cards were shown. Thomas Partey is the latest to be dismissed. Their recent woes pale in contrast to the chaos that was the 2011 game.

Man City are seventh on overall list with 72 Red Cards

The Premier League is a competitive competition. Red cards are assigned in order to punish players for their actions. Man City is ranked seventh with 72 red card issues in the current campaign. Seventy-two red card were issued by the club in their current campaign.

Glenn Murray

Glenn Murray was issued a record-breaking redcard during Sunday's 3-1 loss to West Ham at Upton Park. For his challenge on Winston Reid, Murray had already received two yellow card in the match and was sent to the stands for the second. Murray was warned by Mike Dean to stop his challenge. However, he failed to do so and was sent off.

Frank Lampard

With most red cards in a premier league game for Lampard, Frank's record is not good. Everton manager Frank is an individual who strives to instill discipline and professionalism in his players. The Blues have not been able to win the Premier League since 2004, when they took over at Goodison Park. They last won the title in 2008, but they could return to the Champions League next season.

Joey Barton

Joey Barton is now on the brink of becoming the player with the most red cards in Premier League games. Ex-QPR midfielder, Joey Barton, was given a straight card for an offensive foul' against Tom Huddlestone. Anthony Taylor, who was at the time of the stoppage of play, witnessed the incident. Joey Barton may have been pushing against a Hull City opponent before hitting Huddlestone. It was an offensive foul, and one which was highly unwarranted.
